DrillSafe Southern Africa is our online safety initiative, which aims to improve safety performance on all drill sites by increasing the knowledge and understanding of major drill site hazards.
We re-launched DrillSafe in October 2017, in response to the fact that the understanding and application of safety principles in the drilling industry is poor, legal requirements are poorly understood by suppliers and contractors and that accidents are frequently repeated in the industry. 

What we aim to achieve

We strongly believe that sharing knowledge and experience and then learning from it, is the only way that we can achieve the industry objectives of “no repeats” and “zero harm” and so, every month we publish a series of technical articles that examine and explain the major hazards associated with exploration drilling operations.
